U12 and older teams

Capital Soccer Club will run both male and female teams in all age groups U12 and older.  Players in each age group continues along the path started as U10's in our Youth Academy teams.  The focus on technical mastery and advanced tactical instruction, along with physical and psychosocial elements of the game, will be stressed in training within each age group based around Capital Soccer Club's comprehensive club wide curriculum.  

Tryouts: Due to Covid-19 Pandemic, Capital SC will not hold formal tryouts this year.

Season Overview:

Fall Season (September - October)

  • Our optional Fall Development Academy starts after Labor Day and runs for 6 consecutive weeks.  The program focuses on the development of each and every player and provides a platform for expression through scrimmages, small-sided games, and soccer-related activities. It is our goal to provide a premiere experience for all players in 1st through 8th grade in the fall.
  • Please Note:  The Fall Development Academy is an optional/extra program and is not included in club tuition.  

Winter Season (November - February)

  • Team Training once a week
  • Goalkeeper Training once a week

Spring Season (March - April)

  • Capital Indoor Soccer League
  • Team Training once a week
  • Technical Training once a week
  • Goalkeeper Training once a week

Spring/Summer Season (May - June)

  • Team Training twice a week
  • Vermont Soccer League play
  • 2 Tournaments (possibly out of state)
  • Vermont State Cup (at the coaches discretion)
  • Goalkeeper Training once a week

What is Extra

  • Uniforms (all players in the club will need to purchase a new uniform kit for this season.  Approx. $165)
  • Additional Club & Team Apparel
  • Lodging and expenses for travel
  • Indoor Soccer Leagues from November through the end of February
  • Camps or other special training events (example: Strength & Conditioning)
  • Additional indoor or outdoor tournaments or outdoor leagues
  • Expenses incurred for travel out of the country on club trips
  • Fees associated to attend the East Regional Tournament, if team earns a bid via the VT State Cup (as Champion or Wild Card). ($125 per player fee to assist in offsetting the cost)
